Over in Sweden Nils Åman pots the occasional goal and scored this his fourth of the season on a nice shot. For his efforts Åman received a three-year contract extension with Leksands.

Martin Kaut scored the only goal in a 3-1 losing effort for the Colorado Eagles back home against San Jose. He has now scored a goal in each of the six of his last nine AHL games.

The following night the Eagles fared much better in a 5-0 win over San Jose including a 23 save shutout for Justus Annunen and goals from all of Jean-Luc Foudy, Sampo Ranta, Martin Kaut and Alex Beaucage. What a nice note to enter their holiday break on and give the Avalanche performances to mull over as they will likely continue to need reinforcements when they begin play again.
