The Colorado Eagles picked up where they left off in round one and carried that momentum with them into their round two match against the Idaho Steelheads. Game one was a tight affair which ended in an Eagles 1-0 overtime victory. Game two was a different story with the Eagles scoring early and often to cruise to a 6-2 win and take a 2-0 series lead into Idaho. Games are set for Wednesday, May 2nd and Thursday, May 3rd plus Saturday, May 5th if necessary in Boise.
JC Beaudin continued his strong postseason as well scoring two goals and adding an assist in that game two victory. He opened the scoring as seen below with his quick wrist shot. He also created several plays with Shawn St-Amant, which led to goals. Beaudin was named first star for his efforts. He now leads the team with 10 points in eight postseason games and is second in league scoring, first in goals with six. He’s been playing consistently dominant and is one of the reasons the Eagles are currently enjoying so much success.
