Prospect Weekly: Step by Step
Nicolas Meloche is keeping his progress rolling as he had a two point effort for San Antonio. The Rampage snapped a five game losing skid and won their first contest on the Rodeo Road Trip when they came from behind to beat Mikwaukee 5-4 in a shootout. The goal as seen below was a great shot on the power play. Meloche had an even nicer assist later on in the same game as he started a great passing play down low in the offensive zone.

It was a two for one special last week for development as JC Beaudin got in a couple games, coincidentally the only two wins so far on the month long road trip, with the Rampage due to call-ups and contributed the primary assist as seen below on Reid Petryk‘s game tying goal in the aforementioned shootout win.

Ty Lewis and his Wheat Kings are having a tougher time scoring and finding wins after their trade deadline fire sale but Lewis is still playing his game and producing. In a 4-2 loss to Swift Current, Lewis tallied his 30th goal on the season which also happened to be his 80th point as well. He added his 31st and 32nd goals in the next two consecutive nights to currently hold a four game goal streak.

Conor Timmins’ return is supposed to occur very soon but it still hasn’t happened yet. The 47-6-4 Greyhounds still aren’t losing without him and are waiting for one more win to cross the 100 point plateau and for the playoffs to begin in late March.
