  • That NeuroShield collar seems a little dicey. Choking off veins to increase blood volume in the cranium? Technology harvested from woodpeckers? What the….

    • The technology sounds really cool in theory. Anything that stops microscopic brain damage is a win in my book. What I am interested in is if this helps prevent concussions. The article states that they don’t have any data on concussions themselves. Also, I wonder if there is any side effects from prolonged usage of this device?

Either way, I am glad things like this are being researched.

    • Yeah, I was getting ready to write that same comment, but you beat me to it. Choking and brain health don’t sound like they go together.

      • Sounds like an odd concept for sure, luckily it just seems like it is slight enough to increase the capacity of the veins/arteries in the brain area.

I forgot about Erik Cole. Thought he retired a while ago.

  • The Hockey News article makes the obvious choice of Mikko. I am going to make the unsafe choice and say Jost has a breakout year and is in the Calder conversation.

  • And let me put in a plug for getting Jagr. Why not us?

    • I’m going to go ahead and hope that the Avs stop being the final resting place for the old and slow for a while.

  • I really appreciate the cupcakes and threaded posts. Discord is fine but I miss the ability to swing back to specific comments under the blog posts to see how conversations have progressed. It made it much easier to follow (not to mention, all of our convos were all on one site). Maybe it’s already been asked, but can the comment/new comment counters be added to the title tiles on each article?
