GDT: Prospect Showcase Finale, Avs vs Ducks

Good afternoon all. Your Colorado Avalanche prospects take on the young Ducks of Anaheim today in their final game of the Prospect Showcase. Game time is 3pm ET, 1pm in the mountains and can be seen right here

The Avs have dropped both their games so far but have excelled in many ways not indicated by the scoreboard. They’ve outshot the opponents early and often and the experienced members of the squad look well-prepared to take on the vets at main camp later this week.

No changes to the forwards but the D is very inexperienced with Sergei Boikov and his 1 professional season becoming the veteran. Marty will start but let’s hope we get to see a little more from Petr Kvaca.

The guys will now fly back to Denver to get ready for main camp opening on Friday at Family Sports Center. Media Day is Thursday.
