Prospect Weekly: One Shot at a Time

After a sojourn to check out what prospects of the past have been up to now back to regularly scheduled programming to check out a few nice scores from the weekend.

Taylor Makar scored his first NCAA goal in a 4-3 win for UMass. Oddly enough he scored earlier in the game but had it waived off and then put the puck in the net again.

Elsewhere in the NCAA was Sean Behrens doing his best Cale Makar impression on this incredible shot for his second goal of the season. For his efforts Behrens was also named NCHC defenseman of the week for the third time after a three point weekend.

For the Colorado Eagles it was Sampo Ranta who got the team on the board first in Henderson on a fantastic breakaway goal. Unfortunately things would end in a tie and the Eagles fell 3-2 in a shootout.

The next night the Eagles were back on top in a 4-0 win. Jean-Luc Foudy opened the scoring in this one on a deflected shot and then Justus Annunen earned the 13 save shutout.
