Prospect Weekly: More Makar Moments
Cale Makar wants you to vote for him to win the Hobey Baker and he added an exclamation point with his three point effort in UMass’ 6-1 victory over top ten ranked Northeastern. His first point was this fantastic stretch pass seen below.

Tyler Weiss scored his first NCAA goal to tie the game at three with a great move into the slot and quick shot seen below. Omaha lost 4-3 to North Dakota in the contest however. It’s been a long time coming for Weiss and the goal hints at what he will be able to do once he gets used to hockey at this level.

Colorado Eagles enjoyed the weekend playing their favorite opponent for some reason, the Tucson Roadrunners with a 7-3 victory on Friday night. Igor Shvyrev made a slick drop pass to Cody Bass for the first goal of the evening and the floodgates opened from there. Two goals from Mark Alt, two for Andrew Agozzino plus Dominic Toninato and AJ Greer got on the scoresheet, all seen below. Shvyrev had a banner night with three assists in total, almost doubling his season output thus far.
