Who Wore It Best: #81
Running out of numbers here, people. Especially meaningful ones. Today’s look is at the uber-popular ocho uno. That’s sarcasm, by the way.
Tomáš Vincour: ’12-’13, ’14-’15; 9 GP, 0-2-2, 4 PIMs
A former 5th round pick of Dallas in 2009, Vincour jumped right into the AHL with Texas the year after wrapping up his WHL career and managed to crack the NHL lineup for 24 games that season. That trend would continue for the next two season in the Stars organization, with a pretty decent split between the A and the National. Colorado acquired him in the lockout-shortened ’12-’13 season (for franchise savior Cameron Gaunce) and he joined Lake Erie racking up 11 points in 6 games. That earned him a call-up to the big club where he produced a single assist in two games. Vincour signed with Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL the next season with limited success. He signed with HC Kometa Brno of the Czech ELH, but the Avs called and offered a contract. So Vincour returned to North America in 2014-2015 and after suffering an early-season injury, was back with the welcoming confines of the Monsters’ roster producing 23 points in 38 games. He also got another look at the NHL later that season with 7 games in Denver where he eeked out another single assist before heading back to Cleveland. He then took his services back to the K, this time with Sibir Novosibirsk. He’s played the last two seasons with Kometa Brno.
