Vlad’s View: (Burgundy) Rainbow Road (Trip)!

The Colorado Avalanche are in the midst of a series of three games in four nights, and after dispatching the Washington Capitals in a 6-2 effort yesterday evening at Pepsi Center, they have gotten this important series of hockey games off to a great start!
They won’t be alone as they hit the road for the weekend: I have packed my bags and will be delivering on the scene coverage of Burgundy Rainbow’s first official road tour of the Ontario Hockey League!
The fun begins tonight live from Sarnia, Ontario, as the hometown Sarnia Sting welcome the defending Memorial Cup Champion Windsor Spitfires.
The junior hockey action continues on Saturday as I head out to Flint, MI, as the Flint Firebirds host the Memorial Cup Runner-Up Erie Otters.
Sunday’s action will be a double-header! I head over to Windsor, Ontario, as the Windsor Spitfires square off against the London Knights in an early afternoon game, and then later that night, I head to the sparkling new Little Caesar’s Arena as our Colorado Avalanche go head to head against the Detroit Red Wings.
Four hockey games in three days! What a time to be alive!
There’s a little something for everyone on this trip, whether you’re a fan of Canadian junior hockey or waiting for some exciting NHL action as the Avs pay their only visit to the Motor City of the season!
Live updates will be posted where possible on our Periscope channel for the junior games, and I will do the same for our first road game coverage for the Colorado Avalanche as well.
Let’s hit the road!
