Allaire definitely deserves a place in the HHOF. He changed how goalies approached the game and that in turn changed how the game was played. As a fan, I am not sure I like how it changed, but that doesn’t take anything away from Allaire.
Indeed.
The Captain’s Practice is voluntary. We’ll see where Matt stands once camp starts and he’s contractually obligated to participate.
Its not really that voluntary though.. Essentially every other player was there
Wow, that THN prediction was quite depressing. Sigh.
“This is especially crucial since the franchise lost defenseman Will Butcher to New Jersey when the 2013 fifth-rounder and Hobey Baker winner decided not to sign with the Avs.” The THN preview lost all credibility after this comment.
This is a story I want to follow. The Avs have taken a ton of fat off the bone for this Butchered Butcher thing. But we shall see if Will truly is a Tbone or just another pound of burger.
The Avs will truly get grilled if he turns into a Grade A prospect, but I think too many people are taking Tommy Boy’s advice and trying to judge by sticking their head up Butcher’s ass instead of just taking the bull’s word for it.
It’s just exceedingly common now that college UFA’s go wherever they want. Witnessed especially by the Avs managing to lure away two other relatively promising college UFA’s from other teams. In that case the shoe might be on the oth-kerFoote.
Thanks to whomever posted this link on MHH yesterday. I found that other Burgundy Rainbow site but it seemed dead. I didn’t know that everyone transitioned over here.
Just a heads up: there’s a lot more people and activity on Discord (link on the top menu), that’s where most of the discussion takes place. But it’s a little more of a chat environment, so might not be for everyone.
Being a not so tech kinda guy, it was a serious chore trying to figure out what and where the log in to the community is/was.
Question for the mods…possible to add code to the links (_blank) to force links to open in a new tab? I hate being taken away from BR.
Could Calgary be a dark horse in the Dutchy Derby?
Would you guys consider something like :
Dutchy
2018 3rd
for
Bennett
Valimaki
2018 1st
I wouldn’t not add a 3rd to that on our end and I still am not sure I take that offer.
Ehh. I want super crazy evil Dougie Hamilton.
There’s not no real Grade A piece there, but I’d have to seriously consider it at this point. Bennet is a good players and still young, Villimaki could well turn into a legit blueliner and a 1st is always nice to have. Off ice issues notwithstanding, Hamilton would certainly provide that top young Dman Joe wants though.
Could have Hamilton for much less like a year ago, though…
