GWG Challenge: 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs (First Round)

Later today, the Colorado Avalanche will begin their quest for their fourth Stanley Cup in Game One against the team that eliminated them from the playoffs last year, the Dallas Stars.

This year’s rematch features a new level of intrigue, as former Avalanche right wing Mikko Rantanen now wears the victory green of the opposition, and his former teammates would love nothing more than to send their former friend to an early first round exit.

Our Game Winning Goal Challenge participants face a similar dilemma as they look to rebound from their early postseason exit last year.

It’s time to put aside friendships, and direct all focus towards the singular goal of claiming this year’s Game Winning Goal Challenge championship!

If you missed the regular season run, no need to worry.  The opportunity for championship bragging rights is still very much up for grabs!  Create a username, join our Discord, and make your push for the championship!

As has been the case for the past few seasons, bonus questions will not be on our Discord server throughout the playoffs.  Instead, you’ll craft your own five-person skating unit to earn extra points whenever they score!  Participating in the playoff bonus is completely optional, but don’t leave these points on the table: every point is absolutely critical in the chase for the championship!

The road back to the Stanley Cup–not to mention a potential Game Winning Goal Championship crown–begins now!

Get your guesses in, and good luck!
