Sampo Ranta‘s 10th goal of the season helped Minnesota hang ten goals on Arizona State in two consecutive nights. In 16 games Ranta is at a point per game rate and leads the team in goals.

Over in the QMJHL things are starting to kick back into action following the holiday season and minor pause. The trade deadline passed yesterday and Alex Beaucage found a new address in Victoriaville. With an 8-4 record presently they look to make a run at a championship this season.

In other news, the Colorado Eagles released their schedule and will (hopefully) begin play on February 5th. They began their training camp on Monday.
