Sunday Morning Easy Thread: 10/1/17

Good morning all and welcome to the second month of Burgundy Rainbow’s existence. We’re in the last major lull before the season starts mid-week but there are still issues to discuss. Let’s get to it.

– The Rampage held their pre-season exhibitions this weekend against the Texas Stars, one home and one away. Friday night they triumphed 4-2 at the AT&T Center getting goals from Alex Belzile, Josh Atkinson, Nolan De Jong and Blues prospect Adam Musil. Last night they got blanked 4-zip in Cedar Park. Cuts should happen today or tomorrow as ECHL camps open this week.

– Duncan Siemens cleared waivers but will remain with the Avs for the time being.

– The Eagles announced on Friday that there will be a press conference Monday noon at the Bud Events Center to officially confirm their graduation to the AHL next season as the Avalanche affiliate. Joe Sakic, AHL CEO David Andrews and the Eagles management will all attend.

– This afternoon StephHouse and friends will record another edition of the Burgundy Radio Podcast touching on the pre-season and setting up for opening night. If you have questions for the panel, put them in the comments here or you can @ them on the twitter to either us @AvsBRblog or @BurgundyRadio

Thanks for a great opening month everyone, we’ve really enjoyed it and I hope you have too. The real work begins Thursday.
