Avalanche announce first series of cuts

This morning the Avalanche announced their first cuts from this season’s camp. None unexpected but perhaps who wasn’t cut is more interesting. First, the details.

Josh Anderson was sent back to Prince George in the WHL. Not all that unexpected when he wasn’t in ice the last couple of days presumably with an injury. Thomas Gregoire and Hugo Roy were sent back to Sherbrooke in the QMJHL. A little more surprising here as both could have stuck around in the running for a contract but were early cuts. The Rampage get their first bodies for their training camp in goalie Sam Brittain and Ben Storm.

Notable who wasn’t cut are junior players Travis Barron, Conor Timmins and invite Ty Lewis. Possible both get into the first preseason game on Tuesday against the Golden Knights. Stay tuned for more cuts as they occur.
